PostSubject: Character/Vehicle Texture Hacking Reference Guide!   Sun Aug 15, 2010 3:17 pm

Well, I'm at it again! Here is another reference guide by me! Now, this kind of texture hacking is kind of difficult so stay with me. First, get these things from the ISO using Wiiscrubber but they are optional. Driver.szs (Partition 1 -> Scene -> Model), Award.szs (Partition 1 -> Demo NOT Partition 1 -> Scene -> UI) and one .szs file from Partition 1 -> Scene -> Model -> Kart. Next, you will need one of the things from the iso: Go to Partition 1 -> Race -> Kart NOT Partition 1 -> Race -> Kart. You will see many things. Read further down the guide to see what they all mean. Extract it in Wiiscrubber, then open it with the SZS Modifier. Find what you are looking for and click it. Then click "textures". Change the textures with paint by exporting and importing it back into the file!and there you go! HEEERRRREEE WEEE GOOO! I made it colorful, too Razz Questions? Feel free to ask! Any errors I made? Feel free to correct me! I don't bite (Nom Nom Nom)!

After you get to Partition 1 -> Scene -> Model -> Kart... (Vehicle Selection Screen)

*-allkart_BT.szs ----- Unknown

NOTE: There are 36 *-allkart.szs's and *-kart_BT.szs's.



NECESSARY:



After you get to Partition 1 -> Race -> Kart... (What Appears in the ACTUAL Race)


#_bike-*.szs ----- Character and Bike Single Player Screen
#_bike-*_2.szs ----- Character and Bike 2 Player Splitscreen
#_bike-*_4.szs ----- Character and Bike 4 Player Splitscreen
#_kart-*.szs ----- Character and Kart Single Player Screen
#_kart-*_2.szs ----- Character and Kart 2 Player Splitscreen
#_kart-*_4.szs ----- Character and Kart 4 Player Splitscreen

NOTE: There are 36 of all of these.




NOW, you may ask me, "Johnny, what do the *'s and #'s mean?". *'s are the Character names and #'s are the Vehicle names. But they aren't the REAL names of them, it's like an abbreviated version. Hmm.... Can't you? I think the SZS Modifier can read Brawl files... I've texture hacked brawl characters using SZS Modifier...

you can, you can also model hack and PSI hack (Moveset)

Brawl is the easiest game to hack, all it takes for most files is a simple code. Razz

I know, but if we could alter the model in another method, and successfully got a new model out of in that works in MKWii, then we are that much closer to making a fully customized MKWii game. Razz
