PostSubject: OBJ is Invalid File   Sat Aug 21, 2010 6:34 pm

I'm trying to import an exported .obj file into the SZS Modifier, and when I do, I get "Invalid Error".

I followed the UTube tutorial and am getting this error.

Any ideas?

It might be that your SZS Modifier isn't the current version. The latest version of it can import .obj files. Or it may be that the file is too large.

My SZS Modifier is version 2.5.2.0; and my file size is 17 KB. Maybe I got a corrupt SZS Modifier installer?

Thanks!

I'm not an expert on the program myself, so I'm not completely sure what your problem is and how to fix it.

I just answered the SAME question down at mairokartwii.com. So here is the answer..... wait.... Yes_I_Hack_Mario... are you Wiifan(random numbers)? Well, anyways, here it is.'

I have gotten this error many times. I think the problem might be that the model you are importing is too small. Make it bigger (I mean a lot bigger, like 200000 ft.). Even thought the size of the model is taken by what the polygon is, it still has to be big. Also, when you change all .'s to ,'s, make sure you changed back {objfilename},mtl back to {objfilename}.mtl. You should see that near the top of the OBJ file once opened in Notepad

If the filename has spaces, remove them. The SZS Modifier doesn't like filenames with spaces in them.

Replace the Spaces with Underscores. ►_
