PostSubject: Garbage Track?   Mon Sep 06, 2010 3:54 pm

Alright, so I made a custom battle course in Sketchup, and exported it as an .obj. I then imported it into a track, but it ends up as garbage...

Here's some pics to compare:

Can someone tell me if I should worry about this, or if it's supposed to be like that?

(Also, just pointing out: I didn't get any 'option prompts' during the .obj exporting process, while I saw a video that had one. What's up with that?)

You imported to all polygons. Causing texture malfunctions. You must manually de-complex it. You must import and export little by little into each polygon(s). I don't know about the Options screen, but make sure to NOT disable culling.

That means I have to make an .obj file for every polygon file?

Wow, will THAT take a while! :\

No, not ALL the polygons. Just make the obj not complex so it can fit in 1-2 polygons.

OR wait for Chadderz to release his new SZS Explorer that can import without complexity being a problem. I am really excited for that! No more de-complexing soon!

Well Chadderz is a geek and I imagine him becoming really rich and famous in his life. You can find ways around complex models Wink
