I've encountred this problem:

I was making a Cistom Song for the ghost replay music and waiting to join on wifi... Set loop point, converted to brstm, used brsar size patcher etc etc. Everything went right, but...

THE MUSIC STOPS AFTER 20 SECONDS O.o

Note that the music is 3 minutes long -.-

What's wrong? scratch

You sure you did everything right? And also, sometimes music just does that...

You should state what you did in detail so we can find problems from then.

Detailed description:

Through vidToMP3 I downloaded an MP3 song (I like It by Enrique Iglesias feat. Pitbull). Now, I opened wavousaur and I've set the loop points (Loop start at 0:00 and loop end at the end) and I saved the looped song as .wav.
Now, I opened BCSM GUI, then "Add", then "Add to queue", I selected my wav song and converted to brstm.
Now, I went on BRSAR RSTM Size Patcher, loaded PAL revo_kart.brsar (If there are differences between PAL and NTSC, I dont know, anyway I'm European so I use the PAL one), then I loaded my brstm song. I've selected o_WiFi_waiting32 and clicked "Write Size". Now, I renamed the song o_wifi_waiting32.brstm and put it in My Stuff folder for Riivolution.

And it stops after 20-25 seconds =(

Pending reason for problem...

Maybe you should have saved it as an MP3 I believe.

You are supposed to loop in in BCSM-GUI, not your audio editing program, I think.

Or use a hex-editing program to edit hexes within the BRSTM file.

Loop was checked in BCSM-GUI... And I must set the loop in the audio editor too, or the song won't restart... Anyway, I dont think it is a loop problem... o.O I'll try with other songs... HEX Editing? D: I've seen a tutorial, I've understood nothing... The only hex edit I can actually do is changing the DWC AUTHDATA and the main.dol trick...

I see. It might be the loop problem. If it's not, then we'll need more help.

Probably a problem in loop.. you shouldn't use other audio progarms to make the Custom music loop like others.. I mainly made it loop by using the brsar size patcher, since it made most of my songs loop in game..If it stops then there's a problem EITHER from your videotoMp3 thing, BSCM-GUI, or the music itself.. try using other custom music and it might work.

I've tried (before this problem) to check only the loop on BRSAR patcher and the music hasn't restarted. The song is ok though, I'll try tomorrow with another one. Maybe the size was wrong or... no idea

Now I'm getting this exact problem when I tried to replace the music in Bowser's Castle (wii) with "Road to Bower" from SMG2

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bowser Castle Wii has an interesting BRSTM. It is multichanneled therefore you cannot make a BRSTM the same way you would others. And even after that, BCWii is a very unique multichannel BRSTM and it sometimes doesn't work. Other multichanneled BRSTM's include Koopa Cape, Wario's Gold Mine, Moonview Highway, and Dry Dry Ruins. Maybe more, but I can't think of any right now.

Ah, thanks. Do you happen to know how to create a multichanneled BRSTM, because the other song I tried to replace was Koopa Cape (if not, that's fine)? I guess I can try to replace another course's music with that song (N64 Bowser's Castle).
